Functional capacity evaluation
Functional capacity evaluation
FAE (Functional Abilities Evaluation) or FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) is a type of evaluation that provides a thorough information about an injured or ill person’s ability to return to work or perform daily activities. FAE or FCE is a comprehensive evaluation of your physical and functional abilities, a set of tests are done to evaluate how you’re performing in certain areas. The FAE is specific or general to your job and related duties.
How Can It Help You?
A functional abilities evaluation is going to give you a clearer image of the functional and physical abilities of a patient when he/she is recovering from an injury or a disability. This helps a patient and an employer to know if he/she is physically capable of returning to their duties or work on a normal basis. The Functional Capacity Evaluation is going to compare your abilities with the physical demands of your job by looking at the requirements of your job and the type of environment you’re going to work in.
FAE or FCE is conducted by medical professionals. The Functional Abilities Evaluation measures the physical and functional abilities of a claimant. Some of the tests include:
- Effort Test
- Strength Test
- Muscular Endurance Test
- Overall Conditioning Test
- Repetitive Working Tolerance Test
- Sustained Activity Tolerance Test
The tests that are mentioned above are only some of the tests that are conducted during the FAE or FCE. To conduct FCE for you, please contact us on the number below or through email!
